FI-04: Discover research information technology offered by multiple organizations
Executive Summary:
A researcher, educator, or student discovers research-enhancing information technology (IT) services offered by multiple organizations. Examples of such organizations include: the researcher’s campus research information technology (IT) department, research IT departments at other campuses, and national research services. Examples of services include: live events, online training, research computing infrastructure (compute, viz, storage, and instruments), software and online services, public research data, consulting and support services, and IT guides.
User Importance Summary:
One of the benefits of a community is connecting services to people who need them. Researchers have access to services from a wide range of organizations, but awareness is critical. Discovery services that cover many organizations are more valuable than single-organization services.
