Executive Summary: 
A researcher, application developer, science gateway developer, or service provider (aka “repository curator”) needs to create or modify the contents of a repository that will be accessed on many resources. The repository is hosted by a service provider. Repository contents may include: installed applications, container images, application configuration files, data files.
User Importance Summary: 
Some research communities maintain repositories of files containing software, container images, application configuration files, or data files for use on a wide variety of systems and resources. These repositories must be maintained by members of these research communities.
