XSEDE Cross-Institutional Resource Discovery extended with Science Gateways Community Institute catalog information
In 2020 XSEDE Introduced a Cross-Institutional Research Tools and Services Discovery capability enabling the research community to discover software, infrastructure, data collections, consulting services, training, curated guides, and more, across the University of Illinois and XSEDE (announcement).
In collaboration with the Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI) XSEDE has now integrated Science Gateway Catalog information into this capability. Researchers can now discover research enhancing tools and services across the University of Illinois, the Science Gateway Catalog, and XSEDE through a single interface, and then navigate to the local catalog and resource information.
This expanded capability is available through the Research Software Portal at:
FI-02: Supply an organization’s research information technology information to an aggregation service
FI-03: Build a research information technology discovery service that lists services from multiple organizations
FI-04: Discover research information technology offered by multiple organizations
